ZANAFLEX: Antispasmodic ... spasticity of multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury.
ZANAMIVIR: A new series of anti-viral medications that block an enzyme that assists in the growth of flu viruses.
ZANTAC: Duodenal and benign gastric ulcer and maintenance of healed duodenal ulcers.
ZARONTIN: Used as an anticonvulsant ... 250 mg capsules.
ZAROXOLYN: Edema, hypertension.
ZEBETA: Also called ... "Bisoprolol fumarate. Hypotensive agent ... 5 mg, 10-mg oral tablets.
ZEPHREX: Decongestant.
ZEPHIRAN: Disinfectant concentrate.
ZERAC: Topical cleanser for acne.
ZESTORETIC: Anti-hypertensive.
ZESTRIL: ACE inhibitor, which helps to lower blood pressure and makes the heart beat stronger. This medication is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. Many adverse reactions can occur when taking the drug, however there are few instances when any actually develop.
ZIAC: Antihypertensive.
ZIDOVUDINE: Treatment of HIV infection.
ZINC CHLORIDE: A compound that is involved in absorption of nutrients into the blood through the skin. Sometimes used to treat skin cancer and other skin conditions
ZITHROMAX: Mild to moderate susceptible infections. Z-PAK
ZOCOR: Cholesterol lowering drug used hypocholesterolemia. It is one of the "statin" drugs, which reduces high blood pressure. It works by interfering with the ability of the liver to produce "bad" cholesterol (LDL) which attaches to artery walls to prevent blood from reaching the heart.
ZOFRAN: Prevents nausea, vomiting due to radiation therapy.
ZOLADEX: Decreases the production of estrogen to combat endometriosis.
ZOLMITRIPTAN: Generic medication which is often successful in preventing migraine headaches.
ZOLOFT: Depression. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.
ZOMIG: Migraine relief. Introduced in 1998. (Zolmitriptan).
ZOSTRIX: Topical analgesic cream.
ZOSYN: Extended penicillin type antibiotic.
ZOVIRAX: Trademark for an antiviral drug used to shorten the course of herpes virus infections.
ZOXAZOLAMINE: Skeletal muscle relaxant.
ZYBAN: Aid to stop smoking by targeting the neurochemistry of tobacco addiction. The drug is available only by prescription and is taken for 7-12 weeks. It works by boosting the brain chemicals dopamine and noradrenaline. Originally developed to treat depression side effects.
ZYLOPRIM: For gout, renal calculi ... allopurinol.
ZYPREXA: Psychosis.
ZYRTEC: Antihistamine ... does not make people sleepy.
