ULTRAM: This medication is a pain reliever. It is used in the treatment of moderate to moderately severe painful conditions.
UNASYN: For susceptible skin structure, intra-abdominal, gynecologic infections.
UNI-DUR: Bronchodilator, antiasthmatic (theophylline).
UNIPHYL: Asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.
UNISOM: Nighttime sleep aid.
UNIVASC: Antihypertensive ... ACE inhibitor.
URECHOLINE: For preoperative and postpartum urinary retention (non-obstructive).
UREMOL HC: Currently being researched.
URSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID: Being tested (year 2001) for dissolving gallstones.
UROKINASE: Anti-clotting agent which is used to treat stroke victims ... must be given within three hours of the stroke to be effective. It is still experimental in 1999 and includes the risk of initiating bleeding in the brain.
