IBERET: Vitamin mineral supplement.
IBUPROFEN: Anti-inflammation drug. Ibuprofen also reduces pain and fever.
ICHTHYOL: A skin product made from coal tar.
IMDUR: This medication helps to widen blood vessels so blood flows better. It is used to prevent angina (chest pain).
IMEDEEN: A bio marine complex in pill form, which decreases the aging look of skin due to sun damage. Available in Europe since 1991 it begins to show results in the face following approximately six months of use.
IMIPENEM: Bactericidal antibiotic.
IMIPRAMINE HCI: Antidepressant 10.25.
IMIPRAMINE PAMOATE: 75 mg, 100 mg, 125 mg, and 150 mg
IMITREX: Used to treat migraine headaches. Relief may be noted as early as ten minutes and usually within one hour. It is not effective in preventing migraines.
IMODIUM: For acute, non-specific diarrhea. Fast acting (sometimes within an hour).
IMOVAX: Rabies vaccine (five injections).
IMURAN: Rheumatoid arthritis. Imuran is also an immunosuppressive drug used in combination with others to assist in the prevention of rejecting an organ transplant. Also called ... "azathioprine".
INAPSINE: (eye nap seen)
INDERAL: Trademark for a beta-adrenergic blocking agent ... causes blood flow to increase and blood pressure to decrease. Often successful in preventing migraine headaches.
INDINAVIR: Used to HIV patients.
INDOCIN: Rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, and tendinitis. Relieves pain and reduces inflammation. It is commonly used to treat pain, swelling and stiffness.
INDOMETHACIN: Anti-inflammatory ... non-steroid. Most often prescribed drug for gout in year 2000. Often used to quiet back pain.
INDERIDE: (Propranolol HCI; hydrochlorothiazide). Antihypertensive
INDERIDE LA: (Propranolol HCI; hydrochlorothiazide). Long acting antihypertensive.
INFLIXIMAB: See "Remicade".
INH: Trademark drug for an anti-bacterial agent used to treat tuberculosis.
INOMAX: Pulmonary vasodilator for neonates.

INTAL: Breathing treatment; prevent asthma attacks; eye drops.
INTEGRILLIN: A clot-blocking drug, which is often used to cut the risk of complications after angioplasty and other heart procedures.
INTERFERON: A protein, which occurs naturally. It is the only proven treatment for Hepatitis C. The drug only provides temporary relief. Side effects include fatigue, muscle cramps, fever, and anorexia. It has also been shown to retard the relapse of multiple sclerosis.
INTROPIN: See Dopamine.
IONAMIN: For short term management of obesity originating from outside the body. To be used in conjunction with lifestyle modifications. Active ingredient is phentermine.
ISMO: Prophylaxis of angina. Not for acute attacks.
ISOCAL: An over the counter, lactose free, nutritional liquid typically delivered by way of the gastrointestinal tract.
ISOFLURANE: A gas used as a general anesthetic.
ISOMIL: Liquid, powder infant formula.
ISOPTIN: Angina, arrhythmias ... a calcium channel blocker ... see verapamil.
ISOSORBIDE: Diuretic ... prophylaxis and treatment of angina.
ISORDIL: Sublingual antianginal
ISOTRETINOIN: See "Accutane".
ISOVUE: Parenteral radiopaque agent.
ISUPREL: An emergency drug used for atropine-refractory heart block, hemodynamically significant heart block.
ITRACONAZOLE: Antifungal.
