V-CILLIN-K: Anti-infective ... Penicillin ... antibiotic tablets/powder.
VALACYCLOVIR: Antiviral used to treat herpes zoster, cytomegalovirus and HIV related herpes simplex.
VALISONE: Cream ... corticosteroid.
VALIUM: Sedative; Muscle relaxant.
VALPROIC ACID: A drug used to stop or prevent convulsions.
VALTRAC: Currently being researched.
VALTREX: For suppression of herpes.
VANCENASE AQ: Inhaler; Steroid; A member of the cortisone drug family. For allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. Prophylaxis of nasal polyp recurrence. Note that side effects normally associated with cortisone drugs are virtually non-existent because Vancenase is inhaled.
VANCERIL: Oral inhalation aerosol ... a corticosteroid used for bronchial asthma ... 40 UG/dose & 84 UG/dose.
VANCOMYCIN HCI: Antibiotic used since 1956. Effective against gram-positive bacteria. In the year 2000 it was regarded as the drug of last resort for resistant infections. In earlier versions it has been known to cause deafness and kidney problems. 1G, 10G, 250 MG/mL, 5G, 500 mg, 500 mg/mL, 0.5G/100 ml, 1G/200ml.
VANTIN: Anti-infective for susceptible mild infections (to moderate) like otitis media, bronchitis, tonsillitis, urinary tract, skin, etc.
VAPONEFRIN: Bronchodilator ... aerosol treatment.
VARIVAX: For chickenpox immunization. If a child is under the age of 13 then (s)he need receive only one dose. However, if over the age of 13 then the person requires two doses, the second one approximately six weeks following the first.
VASERETIC: Antihypertensive.
VASODILAN: Peripheral vasodilator.
VASOTEC: ACE inhibitor that helps to lower blood pressure and makes the heart beat stronger. This medication is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure.
VECURONIUM: Muscle relaxant.
VELBAN: IV powder ... for combating breast, lung and testicular cancers. Also, for sarcomas, lymphomas, neuroblastomas ... 10 milligram.
VENTOLIN: Use by asthma sufferers because it dilates constricted bronchitic airways and decreases the production of mucus ... used in inhalers.
VENTOLIN ROTACAPS: For bronchospasm and asthma. Albuterol (as sulfate) 200 micrograms ... caps for INH only.
VERAPAMIL: For hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias and angina. It is a calcium channel blocker that lowers blood pressure.
VERATRUM: Medication that lowers blood pressure and decreases heart rate.
VERELAN: For hypertension. It is a heart and blood pressure medicine. Generic name is "verapamil HCI". … 120 mg, 180 mg, 240 mg, 360 mg.
VERMOX: Medication for pinworms.
VERNIX: Cream, lotion and oil for people suffering from dry, itchy or eczematous skin. Vernix protects newborn's skin with three main ingredients ... 1) squalene-squalene. 2) Cholesterol triglycerides. 3) Monoester waxes.
VERSED: IV or IM injection, which is a general anesthetic. Often used for preoperative sedation.
VIAGRA: Also known as ... "sildenafil". Anti-impotence pill for men ... from the Phizer company. It helps increase blood flow to the genitalia in men which results in increased arousal. Viagra opens the arteries that fill the spongy tissue of the penis with blood. Tests on women show that the drug does increase blood flow to the genitalia but does not translate into improved sexual response for women. People with heart problems should consult their health care provider prior to use. Men who take nitroglycerin or nitrate or nitrite medicines may develop a drop in blood pressure. Also, it should be noted that most sexual dysfunctions are due to a mental component like depression anger or resentment towards ones spouse.
VIBRAMYCIN: Doxycycline is an antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, including prevention of "traveler's diarrhea".
VIBRA-TABS: For ance, general infections and malaria. Doxycycline 100 milligram ... antibiotic.
VICODIN: Moderate to moderately severe pain.
VICON FORTE: Multivitamin supplements are necessary when inadequate amounts are received as a result of poor nutrition, certain illnesses and in pregnancy.

VIOXX: Also called ... "rofecoxib". A pill that is typically taken three time a week for arthritic pain. The generic name is "rofecoxib". It is considered less likely to cause stomach ulcers than traditional medicines in the year 2000. This drug is comparable to ibuprofen and naproxen for the relief of arthritic pain but it has less risk of causing bleeding or obstructions of the intestines.

VIRILON: An androgen used for hypogonadism, breast cancer and impotence.
