A few thought concerning your music
It seems to me that advertising is your key ... here in Redfield we have 1 newspaper and they promote people
sending in local articles.
I'm thinking Houston must have a lot of specialized newspapers that people pick up for free as they are leaving
places of business ... these papers often ask people to submit articles.
So, what if you write an article
concerning AI ... at the top of the article could be your picture followed by your credentials ...
Degree in "AI" (at the forefront of people's minds now-a-days),
"communications expert", "fiber optics expert", "IT expert", "Musician/Songwriter with 22 songs to his
credit".
In other words, sneak in the "musician stuff" ... then, write a second article that builds off the first
and in this second AI article "sneak in" more "musician stuff". At the end of the article you could
mention that more
Jeffery James material is available at https://www._________ and this would take them to one of your songs.
I bet there are 100 small newspapers like this. Submit articles to all of them.
Anyway, I know it's a long process (it's called "paying your dues").
You could do what your mother and I have done in the past ... i.e., go to Old Folks homes ... the old folks
love to sing ... you have a vast music knowledge and should be able to identify songs that would fit with the
age of the people at the home ... a little Sinatra, a little Dean Martin, etc.
Then, write your next article about the needs of old people and how music brightened up there lives when you performed for them.
sprinkle in pictures of you at the old folks home.
Anyway, you get the idea ... perhaps you can modify my thinking in a way that fits you! Sooner or later you are going to have
perform some life stuff to promote yourself.
