IVERMECTIN SHOWS PROMISE AGAINST 28 CANCER TYPES
from the desk of Joseph Patrick Jakubal

A Mexican research team tested ivermectin against 28 different cancers ... the first study of its scale. Their 2020 paper (Juarez et al.) suggests ivermectin could be repurposed as a cancer drug.

**Key Details:**

     - Tested at 2mg/kg/day (lab conditions)

     - Worked best against ovarian, breast, glioblastoma, lung, colon, uterine SCC,
liver, triple negative breast, pancreatic, and endometrial cancers

     - Least effective against osteosarcoma, gastric cancer, and melanoma

**Notable Findings:**

     - Slows cancer growth by stopping cell division

     - Targets cancer stem cells (which usually resist chemo)

     - Boosts effectiveness of chemo drugs like docetaxel and tamoxifen

     - In mice with breast cancer, it reduced tumors

     - Even resistant cancers were not safe: Lymphoma and leukemia cells
struggled to form colonies after ivermectin treatment, despite showing
             initial resistance.

**Why it matters:**

At safe human doses, ivermectin could:
          1. Block cancer cell growth
          2. Kill stubborn stem cells
          3. Team up with existing chemo
          4. Shrink tumors (seen in mice)

The study highlights ivermectin's potential as a versatile, low-cost cancer fighter.
