EXTEND LIFE TO 120 AND BEYOND:
If you're serious about extending life - then, your best bet is to initiate the Two-Days-On and
One-Day-Off Diet as follows ...
1. Eat a normal diet for two consecutive days and
then
"fast"
for one ... continue this cycle for the rest of your life!
2. Limit stress and anxiety daily by invoking the
"relaxation response"
for 20 minutes.
3. Introduce
anti-oxidants
into your diet
3. Perform moderate, aerobic exercise daily.
The above conclusions come from the book
Mind/Body Attunement
... where the author
maintains that his Two-Day-On & One-Day-Off
diet is the most logical approach yet to "life extension".
BENEFITS: Longevity ... eliminate disease ... less anxiety ... more energy ...
limit/reverse symptoms of aging.
Even though it sounds a bit "extreme" ... it is based on sound science. There are a number of studies that support the author's
conclusion(s). In fact, the research is so compelling that it should probably be embraced by
anyone with a desire to live life to the fullest.
HISTORY: Over 60 years ago a
Cornell University laboratory
(Mckays)
showed that dietary restriction
dramatically increased the lifespan of rats. Since then, many laboratories and
many strains of rats and mice have confirmed the initial observation ... i.e., reducing calorie
intake (without malnutrition) significantly increases
both the mean and maximum survival of rodents. Currently, dietary restriction is
the only experimental manipulation that has been shown to retard ageing of
mammals.
The first step to solving a problem is to understand it ... the following theories on aging
should be approached with the intent of interlinking them ... because developing a
multi-level treatment plan will improve your odds for success.
The Hayflick Limit Theory ... human cells can only divide so many times.
The Free Radical Theory... an
electron imbalance causes destruction of body cells.
The Genetic Theory
... DNA determines the rate at which we age.
The Neuroendocrine Theory ... an area of the brain called the "hypothalamus" loses it's ability to release and respond to body chemicals (hormones)
The Membrane Theory Of Aging ... cell membranes become less watery (more solid) as we get older and this prevents the body from effectively removing poisons.
The Theory Of Mitochondrial Decline ... the energy producing portion of cells make less ATP as we age.
The Glycosylation Theory of Aging ... simple sugars combine with protein to degenerate the protein.
