WELCOME TO THE JKL ANTI-AGING PAGES
Hello! My name is Joseph Patrick Jakubal ... but please call me Joe.
A number of years ago I decided to put myself on a path toward health (and ultimately anti-aging) because I identified it as the basis for successful living. Further, I decided that true prosperity really starts with a healthy lifestyle because it "spills over" into a healthy mental attitude that allows me to discover and pursue the things I truly value.
I am happy to report that I have made considerable progress and find myself enjoying a phenomenal record of health that has spanned a quarter of a century. Now, at the age of 51, I have defeated disease and I believe I have also made great advances in regards to anti-aging.
Because of my scientific background I tend to look at my life as a grand experiment. Years of experience as the supervisor of a physics laboratory and countless experiments have enabled me to look at life from a logical viewpoint. Ironically, logic has ended up pointing me in the direction of those things that are not logical, namely, intuition, the subconscious, meditation, etcetera.
It's funny, I have now come to the conclusion that the things that matter most are those things that are not "obvious" ... things such as habits, anti-oxidants and the self-fullfilling prophecies that direct our lives like movie scripts.
Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying that I have all the answers ... but, I am saying that I have some impressive accomplishments that lead me to believe that I have put together many of the "pieces of the puzzle". Consider ... I absolutely do not get sick anymore ... over the past quarter century I have been sick only once, and that was due to a pseudo test I made to determine what the exact reason(s) were for my health history. Approximately six years ago I suspended my daily health routines for two weeks, the result was a nasty bout with the flu. Afterwards, I resumed by normal routines and "perfect health" has returned ever since.
Along the way I have made anti-aging a new priority because I truly believe that I have defeated disease and the next "logical" enemy is the one that produces the "diseases of aging". I have now decided that aging does not have to be the natural order for human beings ... I have determined that the Creator wants me (and all his children) to be happy. He wants me to have the things that will make me happy (my task is simply to figure out what they are).
The concept that the Creator set things up in such a way that people are unable to live a happy existance on planet Earth is contrary to what I consider to be good, common sense. In my opinion, the evidence which exists all around indicates that it is not the Creator that causes unhappiness but rather that we do it to ourselves. We are deceived into believing that happiness is a short term gain, a fleeting moment of pleasure or a "bigger" screen TV. We are "led" to believe that life is all about obtaining "short term" gratifications and we never end up finding the time to discover what it is that will reward us with a lifetime of happiness.
In other words, if a longer and healthier life is what we want then all we have to do is "prove" it. I have discovered that "human beings usually get what they want" and our "wants" are expressed through our "expectations". Psychology calls this concept the "self-fulfilling prophecy" and medicine calls it "the placebo effect". By altering expectations about the future we can alter and shape our lives. And, yes, by altering our expectations about health and aging, we can head-off and actually reverse the effects of aging. Imagine, I am in my 50's and people still think I'm in my 30's. I actually wear a mustache to give the appearance of looking older. No creases around the eyes, youthful looking skin, a sleek and trim body that never gets sick ... all because I took the time to create "thinking habits" that altered my expectatons of the future.
