The number of people hospitalized for disorders of the immune system and metabolic system is significantly higher (greater than 40%) in highly industrialized areas like WIndsor and Detroit due to exposure to PCBs. According to an article published in the Windsor Star on October 6, 2000 - p A3 ... "there is increased concern that exposure to these chemicals is compromising children's immune systems".
