HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE DIET

Evidence now exists that diets containing foods that are high in potassium content and low in sodium may diminish the probability of high blood pressure and stroke.

A study at Johns Hopkins University determined that fruit and vegetable rich diets that are combined with low-fat dairy products and foods containing high amounts of potassium (350 milligrams or more) … like bananas, cantaloupe, carrots, orange juice, skim milk, spinach, non-fat yogurt and unsalted tomato sauce can lower high blood pressure readings.
